“Vintage alt-pop belters with a contemporary sheen” DIY
“Spine-tingly production pop” The Line Of Best Fit

Following on from the release of their impressive debut EP ‘4 Track’ last year, ‘Call On Me’ is a return to form for the Yorkshire based pair and their unique brand of alternative pop. Laced with 90’s influences, dreamlike melodies and a catchy chorus, the track is a magical slice of pop perfection on the notion of fleeting love, with vocalist Beth’s smokey topline complimenting the infectious beat.

Speaking on the track Litany said:

“Call On Me is about that first taste of freedom you get as an teenager. When you would call round on your friends and stay up all night playing video games. There’s always that boy or girl next door and everything just feels so visceral and exciting. It’s a song about first times and first love.”

For the past few years, Litany have been bringing their own brand of intelligent alt-pop to the foray. Litany are 24-year-old Jake Nicolaides (production) and Beth Cornell (vocals) from Harrogate, North Yorkshire. They met in school, aged 13, during a Battle of The Bands style competition and have been firm friends ever since, despite not taking the title… In June 2015, the duo reached released ‘Woman’, a trans-Atlantic collaboration between friend and rapper ‘Appleby’. The song gained huge traction online and soon became a cult hit. Their acclaimed debut EP ‘4 Track’ released in June 2017 has seen the band championed by the likes of BBC Radio 1 and Introducing, and received over 9 million combined streams.
‘Call On Me’ is an exceptional return for Litany and with new music to come later this year and a London headline show in October, the band appear firmly on the rise.
